Computer mouse with a scroll wheel. Sensors on the inside of the mouse track the motion of a ball that rolls as the mouse is moved across a surface. A matching movement is produced for a pointer on a computer screen. This pointer is used to interact with and control computer programs in a graphical display, mainly using the buttons each side of the scroll wheel. This wheel is used for moving up and down (scrolling) through a document or display.
