Wallflower flowers (Erysimum cheiri). The essential oil of this plant is sometimes used in herbal medicine as a nervine tonic, though large doses may be toxic. The plant contains cheiranthin which has a stronger effect on the heart than digitalin, a toxin found in foxglove. Photographed at the Dilston Physic Garden, Northumberland, UK.
