Here, a papillary cluster of cancerous cells is seen (at centre) surrounded by pink-stained squamous epithelial cells. The cancerous cells are of an abnormal shape with enlarged, dark staining nuclei, indicative of rapidly dividing tumour cells. Endocervical adenocarcinoma is the most common cervical adenocarcinoma.
