Lyretail anthias (Pseudanthias squamipinnis) single male fish. These fish can grow up to 15cm long and can be found in the Indo-west Pacific region above coral outcrops or oatch reefs of clear lagoons, channels or outer reef slopes. Its main food source is zooplankton. The males are very territorial. Colour patterns can change very slightly from one location to the next so that the fish can blend into its surroundings to hide from predators. Photographed in the Red Sea, Egypt.
