Red panda. Thermogram of the face of a red panda (Ailurus fulgens). A thermogram shows variation in temperature on the surface of an object, measured by the long-wave infrared radiation it emits. The temperature scale is colour-coded and runs from white (18.5 degrees Celsius, coldest) through purple, pink, orange and red to yellow (warmest, 36.31 degrees Celsius).
