The crystal clear hot water springs at Filwoha in the Awash National Park are surrounded by doum palms. Filwoha in the Afar language means 'hot water'. The beautiful springs are vivid manifestations of volcanism in the trough of the Abyssinian Rift. They rise from deep underground at about 96.8 degrees F.
