In their dances, Samburu warriors take it in turns to leap high in the air from a standing position without bending their knees. This is achieved by flexing their ankles in a seemingly effortless way. Their long Ochred braids distinguish them from other members of their society. The goatskin wrapped round the wrist of the warrior nearest the camera denotes that he is either the bridegroom or his best man, dancing during wedding celebrations.
