Peru, Amazon, Amazon River. The Giant Water Lily (Victoria amazonica) floating near the village of Belen, Iquitos. It is the largest of all with leaves sometimes nearly 3m in diameter, on stalks 7 to 8 m in length. Victoria is named after Queen Victoria.
