A malin lies on the peer at Bom Bom Island. Strictly it is not permitted to keep the fish. Fisherman are obliged to return a malin of this size to the water, but on this occasion the fish died while being landed. Bom Bom Island Resort is on the island of Princip?. It is a luxurious resort, renowned for its big game fishing, diving and bird life. Accomodation is in small individual chalets that look onto stunning private beaches. A distinguishing feature is the wooden walkway which joins a tiny island (where more chalets and the resorts restaurant is located) to the main island. Sao Tom? and Princip? is Africa's second smallest country with a population of 193 000. It consists of two mountainous islands in the Gulf of New Guinea, straddling the equator, west of Gabon. Princip? is the smaller of the two islands with a population of around 5000.
