Open star cluster NGC 6791, Hubble Space Telescope image. The stars seen here are estimated to be 8 billion years old. Two background galaxies can be seen at upper left. The foreground stars cover an area around 10 light years across. NGC 6791 is some 13,300 light years from Earth, in the constellation of Lyra. Image data obtained in 2003 and 2005 with the Advanced Camera for Surveys instrument.
