Solar furnace. Furnace at a solar power station being built in the Tabernas district of Spain. This power plant uses mirrors that automatically track the motion of the sun and reflect its rays onto a parabolic reflector. The reflector concentrates the rays onto this furnace, producing immense amounts of heat that is used for various industrial purposes. This is the European centre for solar experimentation.
