Painted lady butterfly (Cynthia cardui) feeding on Buddleia flowers. This is a very common and widespread butterfly, found in temperate zones worldwide. It feeds on the nectar of flowers such as the ones of the Buddleia plant seen here, commonly known as the butterfly bush. This butterfly's wingspan is around 5-9 centimetres across. Its antennae, two compound eyes, hairy head and thorax, abdomen, and wing patterns, are seen here.
