Molecular model of a heterogeneous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNP, orange) complexed with an RNA (ribonucleic acid, blue) molecule. hnRNPs are found in the cell nucleus where they complex with newly synthesised RNA (pre-mRNA) and are involved with the RNAs packaging, splicing and transport out of the nucleus.
