Christopher Head. Christopher Head, former mayor of Chelsea and passenger on Titanic. Mr Christopher Head, 42, was born 25 December 1869. From 1909 to 1911 he was mayor of Chelsea. During this time he associated himself closely with the artistic life of the borough, and took a leading part in the discussions at the Mansion House on the King Edward Memorial. He boarded the Titanic at Southampton as a first class passenger (ticket number 113038, ?42 10s). He occupied cabin B-11. Head died in the sinking. His body, if recovered, was never identified. Titanic was built by Harland & Wolff in Belfast Ireland during 1910 - 1911, and sank on 15ht April, 1912, after striking an iceberg off the coast of New Foundland during her maiden voyage from Southampton, England to New York, USA, with the loss of 1,522 passengers and crew.
