In the clearing of Compigne, the French delegation - composed ofGeneral Charles Hutzinger followed by the undersecretary of ForeignAffairs Leon Noel, Air Force General Jean Bergeret and AdmiralMaurice Le Luc, escorted by Nazi soldiers - is boarding the wagonwhere the armistice terms shall be announced. The wagon is the sameused for the armistice between France and Germany of November 11,1918. Only Noel shall refuse to sign the new armistice on thefollowing day. Compigne Forest, June 21, 1940.
