Moschea Jami Masjid (Friday Mosque), by Unknown Artist, 1648 - 1656, 17th Century. India, National Capital Territory of Dehli -NCT, Delhi, Delhi, Mosque Jami Masjid. Jami Masjed, built according to the will of Sultan Saha Jahan, front view. Monumental facade facing a remarkably wide courtyard surrounded by arches arcades, monumentali doors kiosks. Four story level minarets, embellished refined by end top kiosks. The three marble covered onion domes are indented with the eight arched gallery of the facade, in order to avoid an excessive proximity to the pishtaq. The wide spanning shaded void of the pishtaq does in fact seem to correspond to counterbalance the glaring light shed by the surface of the main dome. 2009 photograph.
