Dr Susan Blackmore (born 1951), British psychologist. Blackmore studied psychology and physiology at Oxford, before going to Surrey University where she gained one of the first PhDs in parapsychology, the study of paranormal psychological phenomenon, such as telepathy. Blackmore's research interests include the paranormal, meditation, consciousness, evolutionary psychology and memetics. Blackmore has also written a number of books and is a regular contributor to magazines, radio and television programmes.
