Carlos Frenk, Mexican-born cosmologist. He is director of the Institute of Computational Cosmology at Durham University, UK. Behind him are the main processing units of the Cosmology Machine, a massive supercomputer that Frenk's team are using to model the evolution of the Universe. By simulating the creation of artificial universes based on astronomical data, Professor Frenk hopes to re-construct the entire evolution of the Universe, from the Big Bang to the present day.
