MODEL RELEASED. Optical illusion exhibit. Children standing in a science exhibit in which the walls and floor have been designed to give the illusion that one child is much smaller than the other. This is known as an Ames room. Viewers look though a small hole and perceive a rectangular room. However, the room is not rectangular, it has a sloping floor, ceiling and rear wall. The boy on the left is actually further away from the viewer than the girl on the right, giving the illusion that he is much smaller than her.
