Donor blood bags. Bags of freshly donated blood, labelled and ready for processing. This is called whole blood, as it has not yet been separated into its components. The blood will be tested for its blood group and other properties. Its components will then be used in blood transfusions to treat various blood disorders or to replace blood lost through surgery or an accident.
