Epilepsy pills. Box and blister packs of Frisium pills, used as a treatment for epilepsy. Each pill contains 10 milligrams of the drug clobazam. This is a benzodiazepine drug which has a sedative and tranquillizing effect. Epileptic seizures are caused by uncontrolled and excessive electrical brain activity. Frisium increases the amounts of the inhibitory neurotransmitter chemical GABA (gamma-aminobutyric acid) in the brain, decreasing brain activity and thus reducing the risk of seizures.
