Removal of viral wart (verruca) on the finger by freezing with liquid nitrogen. The liquid nitrogen is applied through a spray nozzle to whiten the wart for a period of 20-30 seconds; blistering often results. Viral warts are caused by the papovavirus that enters the skin through small cuts, particularly in moist or damp skin.
