Flower remedy. Woman holding a dropper with liquid flower extract known as a Bach Rescue Remedy. Bach remedies were developed by the English physician Edward Bach (1880-1936), who believed that illness was caused by physiological or a psychological imbalances within the body. These could be treated using medicinal extracts of plants which he thought were released into spring water in sunlight. The 38 remedies he created were designed to treat the whole person and not just their symptoms. The rescue remedy was designed to treat general problems.
