Genital chlamydia infection. Swelling in the lymph glands on the right-hand side of a man's groin in the sexually transmitted disease lymphogranuloma venereum. This is an infection by the Chlamydia trachomatis bacterium. The swelling is especially prominent in the inguinal (groin) lymph gland that is above the femoral (leg) lymph gland. A swelling of a groin lymph gland is called a bubo. Treatment is with antibiotic drugs. Lymphogranuloma venereum is more common in the tropics than elsewhere, and this patient is from tropical Africa.
