This interactive dummy, known as a Human Patient Simulator (HPS), is a life- size computer-controlled mannequin that can simulate the responses expected of a real patient. The HPS can 'breathe', has a heart beat and its physiology can be altered to mimic a particular kind of patient. This means the dummy can be male or female, young or old and fit or unwell.
