Dr White, American Neurosurgeon, examining a whole mammalian brain that is in the process of being frozen. White believes that the human brain may be salvaged if it is frozen before reduced blood flow (in cases of trauma or stroke) causes too much damage. He cites cases of people who have fallen into frozen rivers who have survived the immersion & near-drowning with no noticeable brain damage. Dr White is director of the Department of Neurosurgery at Case Western University and a bioethical advisor to the Vatican.
