Each month, one of her ovaries (centre left & right) releases an egg (ovum) into its fallopian tube. The fallopian tubes are attached to the uterus (lower centre). Radio-opaque dye was used to highlight the structures. It was introduced through the catheter (yellow vertical line) at bottom centre.
