Fram crater on Mars. Panoramic picture of the Fram crater on Mars, as taken by the Mars Exploration Rover Opportunity. Its wheel tracks can be seen at lower centre. The crater is about 8 metres in diameter. The rover visited the crater on 23 April 2004, during a journey from its landing site to a crater further east. The colours are obtained by combining three filters to approximate what would be seen by the human eye. The Opportunity rover landed on Mars on 24 January 2004.
