Shrimp Carpopenaeus callirostris Cretaceous, Cenomanian, Hajoula, Lebanon. The shrimp is preserved in a fine grained calcareous mudstone, the antennae are clearly visible, note the manganese dioxide crystals forming fern like shapes, these are associated with bacterial decomposition.
