^BElectric plug ^bopened to show the internal wiring. A five amp fuse is seen at lower centre. This protects the device from a damaging overload of electricity. An overload will melt the wire in the fuse and cut the electrical supply. The yellow and green wire goes to the earth pin at centre right. This will carry the current safely to earth (the ground) if a fault develops. The blue and brown wires are 'neutral' and 'live' respectively.
