Interferon-DNA transcription complex, molecular model. Bound to the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid, green and yellow) is transcription factor p65, interferon regulatory factor 7, interferon fusion protein, and nuclear factor NF-kappa-B. This is collectively referred as the interferon-beta enhanceosome. This protein complex binds to DNA and enhances (speeds up) the transcription of the genetic information.
