Hollar's panorama of London. 17th-century artworks forming part of a panorama of the city of London drawn by Bohemian artist Wenceslaus Hollar (1607-1677). Known as 'The Long View of London from Bankside', the north-facing panorama stretches from Whitehall in the west to St Katherine's by the Tower of London in the east. This copy of the 1647 original was published as six pages in 1907 by the London Topographical Society. This page combines sheet I (left) and sheet VII (right), the two sheets at either end of the panorama. The inscription text is in Latin, with London landmarks labelled in English. For all seven sheets, see C016/9904 to C016/9909.
