Hollar's panorama of London. 17th-century artwork forming part of a panorama of the city of London drawn by Bohemian artist Wenceslaus Hollar (1607-1677). Known as 'The Long View of London from Bankside', the north-facing panorama stretches from Whitehall in the west to St Katherine's by the Tower of London in the east. This portion (sheet II of the panorama) shows the area from Salisbury House to Baynard's Castle, with two theatres on the south side. This copy of the labelled 1647 original was published as six pages in 1907 by the London Topographical Society. For all seven sheets, see C016/9904 to C016/9909.
