Daniel Lambert of Leicester. 18th-century artwork of the gaol keeper and animal breeder Daniel Lambert (1770-1809) from Leicester, England. The description accompanying the artwork stated that here he was thirty-six years of age, weighed upwards of 50 stone (318 kilograms), and measured three yards four inches (2.84 metres) around the body, and one yard one inch (94 centimetres) around the leg. He reached this size and weight in around 1805, putting himself on exhibition from April to September 1806 to raise money. He also exhibited himself on tours between 1806 and 1809.
