Artwork by British painter John Augustus Atkinson (1775-1833) from 'A Picturesque Representation of the Manners, Customs, and Amusements of the Russians' (1812). This collection of 100 artworks was prepared in 1803-4 after Atkinson returned from studies in Russia in the period from 1784 to 1801.
