The School of Women. Frontispiece to a 17th-century erotic dialogue (later called 'The School of Women') written by French lawyer and historian Nicolas Chorier (1612-1692). The original title was in Latin. Its later French title translates as: 'The Seven Flirtatious Encounters of Aloisia'. It was a sex guide for women, and this engraving shows a group of women and a man purchasing model penises.
