Pseudomonas fluorescens bacteria culture. Petri dish containing a sheep's blood agar (SBA) medium, which has been inoculated with Gram-negative Pseudomonas fluorescens bacteria. P. fluorescens is of interest as it produces Mupirocin, an antibiotic that has proven to be effective in the treatment of ear, eye, and skin infections. This was the appearance of the growth after 24 hours of incubation at 37 degrees Celsius.
