Carboplatin. Molecular model of the cancer drug carboplatin (C6.H12.N2.O4.Pt). This drug is used to treat ovarian carcinoma, lung, head and neck cancers. It is a cytotoxic drug because it interferes with the DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) genetic material in cancer cells, causing cell death.
