Harmine. Molecular model of the drug harmine (C13.H12.N2.O), a fluorescent harmala alkaloid that occurs in several different plants. As a drug, it slows the breakdown of neurotransmitters by reversibly inhibiting the enzyme monoamine oxidase A.
