Partial solar eclipse seen through clouds. Solar eclipses occur when the Moon passes directly in front of the Sun. This partial solar eclipse was part of the total solar eclipse of 20 March 2015, with the track marking totality passing over the North Atlantic and into the Arctic Ocean.
