The snout of the Solheimajokull glacier on the Myrdalsjokull ice cap in Iceland. It was melting rapidly due to climate change, but is now melting even faster after the eruption of Eyjafjallajokull covered it in black ash, meaning that it absorbs more of the suns solar radiation. Scientists predict that all of Iceland's glaciers will have disappeared within 100 years.
