The first map (upper right) shows Louisiana, New Mexico and Texas, with an inset showing north-eastern Canada. The second map (upper right) shows the then-British colonies in New England in what would become the north-eastern USA. The third map (lower left) shows Mexico and the Gulf of Mexico. The fourth map (lower right) shows the islands of the Caribbean, plus part of Florida. These maps were part of a school atlas 'Geographischer Atlas' (1760) produced by Swiss mathematician Leonhard Euler (1707-1783).
