Ketchup bottle. Early-20th-century bottle of tomato catsup (ketchup, tomato sauce) from the Squire Dingee company of Chicago, USA. The label refers to the food preservative benzoate of soda (sodium benzoate). The bottle has had a Food and Drug Inspection label applied by the US Bureau of Chemistry. Photographed in 1909.
