Female Ellipsen Waterbuck (Kobus ellipsiprymnus) Waterbucks are large antelopes that are found near to water in the grasslands and savannahs of southeast Africa. They feed mainly on grasses but may take other plants. They live in large home ranges that are shared by many individual females, bachelor herds of non-territorial young males and territorial mature males. The waterbucks often jump into nearby water to escape their predators Photographed in Tanzania, Serengeti National Park
