Fornax cluster galaxies, WISE image. Infrared image of galaxies clumped together in the Fornax Cluster, located 60 million light-years from Earth in the constellation of Fornax. The pink glow has been enhanced to show how galaxies with larger halos of dark matter tend to clump together in space more. These galaxies also have hidden supermassive black holes compared to galaxies with exposed, or unobscured, black holes. Data obtained by the Wide-field Infrared Survey Explorer (WISE). Image published in 2014.
