Forensics 3D autopsy reconstruction. 3D printed reconstruction of a corpse's hand showing clear defence injuries below the thumb and in the palm of the hand, and opened internally to show embedded pieces of the fatal knife inside the hand. These reconstructions in plastic can be passed around a courtroom and examined by members of the court where the handling of actual human remains would not be appropriate. The corpse will have been scanned in a 3D scanner with blue light. Photographed in 2016 at the Institute for Forensic Medicine, Zurich, Switzerland.
