A JIGSAW PUZZLE OF ANCIENT MESSENE Students from Kumamoto Japan; of the UNIVERSITY OF KUMAMOTO / dept. of ARCHTECTURE; are documenting the shattered remains of marble and stone; so they can reconstruct the different temples; shrines and buildings. This aims is to record the techniques of Architectural applications of the ancient monuments. So all of the remains will put together agian and used in the archaeological site of Messene. This was the centre and the main sanctuary in Messene. The Doric peripteral Temple of Asklepios was built in a square court; which was enclosed by Corinthian porticoes (stoas). to survey and study the architectural remains of the surrounding peristylar stoas and remaining stoas of this sanctuary.
