Rebecca Hey was a Victorian writer; poet and artist who wrote 鈥楳oral of Flowers' 1833 and 鈥楻ecollections of the Lakes' 1841. The plates were probably engraved by William Clark; former draughtsman to the London Horticultural Society; and engraver on Hey's previous book.
