A sign in the window of an old cafe called Au Tonneau advertises Nos aperitifs de marques and outside on the pavement there is a metal sign on a stand advertising Pecheur Biere d'Alsace depicting a boy wearing a traditional Alsatian costume sitting on a barrel drinking beer out of a beer mug. The boy is the petit bonhomme Fischer - the happy boy - called Fischermannele from a design dating as far back as 1925 and certainly a famous icon from 1930.
