Duke William IV of Bavaria knocked sideways from his horse during a joust; 16th century. He wears a kettle hat; unique to tourneys of this type. A women with a sieve and a golden W can be seen on his buckler (shield); and a man with sieve and golden I on the horse's caparison. The fall happened during a joust with his brother Count Ludwig from an illustration by Albrecht Altdorfer in Duke William IV's Turnierbuch (Tournament Book).
